1. Product Overview
The secondary packaging machine is the core equipment of Globule's secondary packaging system. It performs the "medium-pack" step: finished small packs that have passed multihead counting/check-weighing are collected in preset quantities, formed into bundles and wrapped with POF/PE heat-shrink film, emerging as neat, tight medium packs ready for terminal packing into big bags or cartons. It is the hub linking "finished small packs" to "terminal collection": whether the promised capacity is delivered, whether the bundle looks clean, and whether the breakage rate is under control are all decided at this station.
Founded in 2019 with an engineering team of more than ten years of packaging experience, Globule designs in line with FSMA sanitary design guidelines. Built to food-factory standards with a capacity of 80–120 packs/minute and support for both vertical and horizontal feeding, the bundling machine is what makes the line's stable rhythm real.
2. Working Principle and Process Highlights
Finished packs enter the machine at a steady rhythm after alignment, lane-dividing and count/weight verification. The machine completes the full sequence of collation forming → film wrapping → heat-shrink setting → cooling discharge:
Collation forming
● — packs are gathered in preset quantities (e.g. 5, 10 or 12 packs) into a neat group with compact arrangement and aligned edges;
Film wrapping
● — POF/PE film is fed, formed, sealed and cut to the group size; film folded thickness 0.025–0.04mm and maximum width 610mm balance a crisp bundle shape against film economy;
Heat-shrink setting
● — the group passes through the shrink tunnel of W430×H220mm, where the film shrinks evenly and hugs the bundle as a "second skin" of protection;
Cooling discharge
● — the set bundle cools naturally or by forced air so the film stays taut and flat, ready for terminal packing.
With 80–120 packs/minute vertical/horizontal capacity and 10–15 bundles/minute bundling speed, the infeed direction flexibly mates with upstream and downstream equipment, and both heat-shrink and bundling modes are available to suit different market requirements for medium-pack format.

Note: the brochure lists the air pressure as 0.5–0.7; in line with industry practice this is understood as MPa-level compressed air. The nameplate and the contract technical agreement remain authoritative.
4. Quality Control: Check-Weigh Accuracy ±0.5 g (with Rejection)
The bundling machine integrates an inline check-weighing unit with an accuracy of ±0.5 g. Every medium pack is weight-verified before discharge: short-count groups and abnormal weights (empty packs, torn/leaking packs, or foreign matter causing weight deviation) are automatically detected and rejected, so no defective medium pack can reach terminal packing. Check-weigh data is fed back to the line PLC in real time for batch tracing and quality reporting — hard-core support for FSMA compliance and complaint prevention in food plants.
5. Construction and Hygiene Design
Stainless + aluminium alloy composite frame
● — hygienic contact surfaces with light, high-rigidity construction; stable at high speed and consistent with FSMA sanitary design;
Quick-change film system
● — film rolls up to 250mm diameter and 25kg load quickly, with stable film storage and web tension that minimise film waste;
Intelligent tunnel temperature control
● — shrink temperature auto-matches film type and line speed for a crisp bundle without overheating the film or pack surface;
Smooth, low-noise running
● — dynamically balanced and vibration-isolated drives and sealing mechanisms keep operation quiet;
Easy maintenance
● — sealing knives, film rollers and conveyor chains are all quick-release designs for simple routine care.
6. Line Coordination and Installation
The bundling machine is a standard model that can be installed on the stainless platform (engineered to support L2000×W1150×H1450mm / 750kg) or floor-mounted. The infeed side mates with the multihead weigher's recheck output or the vibrate feeder's aligned output; the outfeed side feeds the conveyors/packaging machine for terminal collection. Globule provides whole-line layout design and unified commissioning so the 80–120 packs/minute capacity moves from paper to reality.
7. Service Commitment
Since 2019 Globule has held to "Hygiene First · Safety First", offering selection consulting, proposal design, installation and commissioning, operator training, spare-parts supply and remote support. As the heart of the system, the bundling machine enjoys Globule's highest-priority service. You are welcome to send pack and film samples for trial runs.
